Rochelle Laitz (Kleinbaum)

Kleinbaum, Rochelle - 'Shelly' Age 59 Passed away Saturday morning, Jan 11, 2003 in her home in New Hope. She's preceded in death by her mother, Ida Laitz. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Rick Kleinbaum; daughters, Staci (Steven) Rieder of Madison, WI and Nicole Perlman (fiance, Dan Murphy), St. Louis Park; grandchildren, Michele and Jessica Rieder; father, Dave Laitz; brother, Gary Laitz, Dallas, TX; mother-in-law, Rae Kleinbaum Cooper, St. Louis Park; step-children, Laurie (Jason) Fink, Eagan, Becky (Matt) Sanders, Columbus, OH and Mark Kleinbaum, Mpls; step-granddaughter, Mara Fink; brothers-in-law, Robert (Miriam) Kleinbaum, St. Louis Park and Paul (Rima) Kleinbaum, Oak Park, CA; and many close friends and relatives. Shelly had a love of life that was apparent in everything she did. She loved to travel and she loved to entertain. Her grandchildren were extremely special to her as were her many friends and family. Shelly worked as a legal secretary until her cancer diagnosis in December 2000. Funeral services MONDAY (TODAY) 12:30PM BET SHALOM CONGREGATION, 13613 Orchard Rd., Minnetonka. Memorials are preferred in Shelly's honor to the American Cancer Society or Home Free (the battered women's shelter), 3405 E. Medicine Lake Blvd, Plymouth, 55441 or The Children's Home Society of MN (Crisis Nursery), 2230 Como Ave., St. Paul, 55108 or the donor's favorite charity. SHIVA at the family residence, New Hope (Monday-Thursday). The family will be marking the end of shiva with a walk in Shelly's memory, Sunday Jan 19 at 1:30 starting from her home.
