Wally, you were my best friend in high school. During that time my dad would say to me,"Why aren't you more like Wally" and after graduation your dad said to you, "Why aren't you more like Larry". GO TO FIGURE. Remember the 55 Olds we used to ride in, it was your dads, you made a fake floor shifter out of an antenna and golf ball, and you would pretend to shift it while moving the column shift with your elbow. What a blast.

And how about the times we delivered groceries for your dads Family Fruit Store, driving the old green step van, your dad was very good to us.

How about the time you wanted me to go ice fishing, I thought we were going to look for girls, so I dressed to the 9s. You had all the fishing clothes on, and I stood on the ice in my thin black dress shoes and almost froze to death.

The last time we got together was with Bev and Jean in your apartment, we were all so poor at that time that our meal was White Castle Hambergers. That is the last time I ever had  White Castle, because you know what those little buggers did to me.

Wally you certainly made a very good business man, and reeped the rewards of your hard work, and you certainly took excellent care of your family. You told people that when you die, you wanted to do it fishing..Well my good friend you did just that, pulling on your outboard motor and fishing. I only wish you were here so we could make some more  good times.

Jean and I will say hi to Bev when we see her at the reunion.

Your pal  Larry Sewall
